Tyler grew up in Orange County, CA where he became interested in drifting at just 10 years old! He later moved to Arizona where he had the opportunity to learn from professional AM drivers like Forrest Wang, Mike Burns, Joe Haven, and Marc Bergeon. Because of this education, Tyler was able to drive at numerous events across the west for the next 3 years. Tyler’s current car, the beautiful 2013 FRS featured below, is modestly and appropriately modified to include Stance Supersport coilovers, wheels: XXR 527 17x8.25+25, DEI gold wrapped firewall and brake master cylinder, and a Nameless 2.5” track pipe.
Although Tyler’s accomplishments and talent are his own, he tells us that he cannot take all of the credit and wanted to dedicate his feature to the people in his life that have helped get him to this point of recognition. He wants to thank his “Dad for his help and guidance in the auto industry [over] the past decade [and his] Mom for the constant support.” Also, he wants to thank his friends, Forrest, Joe, Mike, and Marc for all of the memories, assistance and mentorship that they provided to him that pushed him to improve his driving, and all other friends and family who have helped him throughout his life. He also thanks Stattic.net (we didn’t throw this in here) for the “awesome photography work”, the guys at FRSport/Stance/TF-Works for the help getting the car “battle ready in under a month!” Tyler says, “Most of all, thanks to my wife, Lauren, for the love, undying support, and understanding. None of it would be possible without her.”
Tyler’s humble nature and all-around good nature earned him a spot here on Stattic.net, but what got our attention was watching his beautiful FRS glide effortlessly and gracefully across the track. The car looks incredible, drifts like a dream, and still functions as a daily driver. Does this FRS have the whole package? We say yes.
